Tibo De Soete and Jonas Steyaert launched their start-up eSupplier and asked MOQO to build a website to present their selection of electric vehicles. That was no problem of course, but what was the story behind eSupplier? How did they make a difference through their offering and services? It soon became clear that their strongest assets – sustainable solutions, customised advice and service – weren’t yet sufficiently clear in their communication. Enter MOQO.
What makes eSupplier’s approach unique is the fact that it goes beyond just selling and renting a range of vehicles. They work with customers, drawing up a plan to find the safest, most efficient and most sustainable solution. Only then does their range come into the picture. We discovered this information during the smooth kick-off meeting, our starting point for developing eSupplier’s brand story. From the brand story we distilled the core values and formulated eSupplier’s vision. "Focus on efficiency, sustainability and safety, by thinking in solutions and innovation," became the common thread running through the branding, both visually and in the tone of voice.
And how did we manage to bring the concept of sustainable transport to life through catchy branding? We thought outside the box. Bye-bye green, hello electric blue! This colour works perfectly in contrast with the otherwise simple, black and white design. The life of the party is the sliding letter E, which creates a sense of movement and innovation. We applied these values across all carriers: there are lots of animations embedded in the website and, if you look very carefully, you’ll even spot a plug in the logo: a nod to the sustainability of all eSupplier-approved vehicles.
eSupplier doesn't shy away from new trends. Tibo and Jonas are always the first to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to green alternatives. Hydrogen as a fuel? Check! Maintenance of second-hand vehicles? Of course! We were delighted to put this eco-friendly attitude in the spotlight and make sure it’s included in all other carriers that we develop for these young entrepreneurs: from business cards to banners on the street and the website, which functions as the main sales tool.
We provided a full package, so that eSupplier could continue to cruise towards a clear and consistent style for marketing communication. The West-Flanders duo also wanted to charge ahead and MOQO was able to deliver well-thought-out branding along with a ready-to-use website within a matter of weeks.
